Obvious triples technique
This technique is basically the same as obvious pairs, it just uses three numbers within a block, instead of two.
In this video, we will show you how to solve sudoku using the Obvious Triples method.
To understand better, let’s look at the picture and the highlighted row. You need to find three cells that contain mutual numbers, and no other numbers. In other words, these are numbers 1, 3 and 8. The cells that meet this requirement are highlighted in yellow.
Now that we have identified cells that meet the requirement, we can conclude that numbers 1, 3 and 8 can’t be used in any other cells, except for the yellow ones. So we can safely disregard any other notion of 1, 3 and 8 in other cells.
