Only possible number technique
It can be fairly simple to fill the cell with a number, even if you don’t have it anywhere in the row, column or block.
In this video we are going to show you how to recognize the only possible number that can be used in the field.
Let’s look at this field…notice the row, column and block in connection with this field. We see that all numbers, except for number 5 have been used in the given row, column, and block. This means that the only possible solution for the empty field is 5.
If we know that numbers can’t repeat in rows, columns and blocks, the only possible solution here is 5.
This is just one example of how you can use the Last number standing logic to your advantage.
