Swordfish technique
This technique just has a dangerous name, but it is actually very useful to all Sudoku players 🙂 It’s similar to the X-Wing technique so if you master that one, it will be easy to learn this one.
In this video we are going to show you how to use the Swordfish technique in combination with the Notes Mode.
This technique is similar to the X-wing technique, but it involves 3 cells, instead of 2, like in X-wing.
In the Swordfish technique, the same one number is found in 3 rows and corresponding 3 columns. In our case, this is number 8.
Since the number 8 can be placed in one of the three cells in the corresponding rows and columns, we can safely exclude all potential occurrences of the number 8 from other cells that belong to the rows and columns in question.
