X - wing technique
This technique has a special name but it is fact really easy to learn how to solve it.
In this video we are going to show you how to use the X-wing technique for solving Sudoku.
In this picture we have a grid with four highlighted fields in yellow. We can see that each highlighted field can contain a number 3 written down as a Note. There are two possible solutions where 3s can be written down, and that is diagonally.
Now, let’s take a look at two columns that are connected to the possible places where we can have 3s. Knowing the possible solutions for 3s, we can easily eliminate all other potential 3s in columns (they are crossed-out).
